Through the lens of Spiritual and Creative and Critical Thinking  Development, using Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer as a guide, we will explore the following themes:

The Natural World

Giving and Receiving and Reciprocity

Community and Responsibility

Gratitude and Generosity

The Value of Other Beings

Indigenous Past and Future

In addition to reading and discussing Braiding Sweetgrass, participants will be asked to explore the themes through activities and crafting. Participants will decide together on a collective project/event at the conclusion of the class.  Copies of the book are available for borrowing from Mels Magic.

We are teachers.  While our practices may overlap, we do not claim or represent ourselves as physical or mental healthcare practitioners. We encourage those dealing with significant physical or mental health issues to work with these practitioners.
